These spaces demonstrate the use of traditional and cultural aspects of their context through the use of crafting techniques, material choice and usages, pattern, form, and structure. Most of these places show a great connection to the outdoors and a permeability between the natural elements and the interior. The boundaries between what is inside and outside are blurred and the simplicity and openness of these spaces invites people to inhabit them, and also invites people to experience the surrounding environment. The natural elements of the environment are also brought inside by using bamboo walls, stones, sand, and organic forms and furnishings. Some of these spaces present the traditions and cultural experience by means of blending contemporary design and traditional pattern, materials and types of furniture.
